At 153cm x 204cm, queen size mattresses are wider and longer than a double and are the most popular size. Queens are suited for a couple, fit in most bedrooms today and are ideal for the guest room. However, that’s still only 77cm width of space each, compared to 92cm width of personal space if you slept in a single bed.
While king beds were often thought of as a luxury, they are now the fastest growing preference for couples. At 183cm x 203cm, each partner has as much space as having their own single bed.
Super kings – measuring 203cm x 203cm – provide the maximum amount of sleeping space available in a mattress. They’re also great when the kids jump into bed on those lazy weekends.
