A.H Beard recommends you follow the care and maintenance tips listed below.
Do's and Dont's
Do keep your bedding clean and dry. Use of a washable mattress protector will help prevent soiling and vacuum regularly
to eliminate dust.
Do check legs and castors. These fittings can come loose with normal use over time. To avoid damage tighten legs
and castors periodically.
Do rotate your mattress. Body signatures are normal, however to equalise the upholstery settling between sleepers of
different body weights and shapes rotate mattress periodically.
Do not use an old base with a new mattress. A base that does not provide even support may reduce the comfort and
life of the mattress.
Do not bend or fold your mattress. Carry your mattress in a flat position on its side to avoid damage.
Do not carry your mattress by the handles. If your mattress has handles these are designed to help position the
mattress on the base and are not designed to take the full weight of the mattress.
Do not attempt to lift or rotate mattress by yourself. To avoid back injury always seek assistance when lifting and
moving the mattress.
Mattress Rotation
Single sided mattresses are designed with premium quality materials for sleeping on one side only so the mattress never has to be turned over, however, to equalise body signatures the mattress should be rotated end to end every two weeks in the first few months and then every three months thereafter.
Double sided mattresses are designed to be slept on both sides of the mattress. To distribute wear and tear these mattresses are required to be rotated end to end and also turned over every alternate period. This process should be performed every two weeks in the first few months and every three months thereafter.
